Background

Gold Coast Soccer launched the

“Tweed Valley Player Development Program”

in March 2007.  The program is based

at Queens Park, Murwillumbah.

The success of the program has exceeded

all expectations. In total, 87 junior

players ranging from 6 to 15 years of age

from all parts of the Tweed Valley attended the

program in 2007, under the watchful

guidance of 14 experienced coaches.

As a result, the program will expand in 2008

to include a training base at Banora Point for

players living at the northern end of the

Tweed Valley. 2008 also see the introduction

of a goalkeeper development program, based

at Kingscliff.
