COACHING EDUCATION ON THE GOLD COAST

Gold Coast Soccer is proud to have the highest Coach accreditation rate on a per capita basis in Queensland. GCSI set a target in 2002 within our club coaching structure of 50% Coach Accreditation - we managed to give that a shake (42%). In 2004 our aim was to reach the elusive 50% - with the help and support of the Clubs that target was surpassed and the final figure was 56%. In 2006  we managed to lift the bar again to 66% and this is creeping closer to 70% in 2008.

Over 250 Coaches achieved some level of Coaching qualification last year, the fifth year year in succession that over 200 coaches have attended courses. We are looking to increase on 250+ attendance in the 2008 season. I believe it is within our reach to give EVERY COACH at whatever level at least the bare minimum of Coach Education. We owe it to our players.

COURSES OR UPDATES SCHEDULED FOR 2008 ON THE GOLD COAST

As of 26/3/2008 150+ coaches have attended courses in the region - add this number to the 1000 +  coaches living in the region. GCSI has 1100+ Coaches with current qualifications residing on the Gold Coast.

We are currently in the process of scheduling courses for the 2008 season.

Please be aware that the calendar fills up very quickly during February/March/April so all enquiries shall be dealt with on a first served basis.
